The historical backdrop of the Society for In Vitro Biology (SIVB) owes its structure, improvement, and part in the investigative and biotechnology group to the guardian line of the Tissue Culture Association. In 1948, the National Research Council boards of trustees on Cellular Physiology, Cytochemistry, and Nutrition held a tissue society gathering at Hershey Pennsylvania.
