Birds Caribbean, previously the Society for the Conservation and take a look at of Caribbean Birds (SCSCB), is a non-profit membership business enterprise working to preserve the birds of the Caribbean and their habitats through studies, education, conservation action and capacity constructing. Established in 1988, Birds Caribbean is the largest single hen conservation corporation within the more Caribbean region, consisting of Bermuda, the Bahamas and all islands in the Caribbean basin. The overarching intention of Birds Caribbean is to boom the capacity of Caribbean ornithologists, resource managers, conservation corporations, institutions, and neighbourhood citizens to conserve the birds of the Caribbean and their habitats. Birds Caribbean holds every week-long biennial assembly, has a number of energetic operating organizations and programs and publishes The journal of Caribbean Ornithology and bi-annual newsletters. Birds Caribbean also sponsors the booklet of neighbourhood hen subject publications. Birds Caribbean works to raise public focus, knowledge and appreciation of the value of the area’s many endemic fowl species and their habitats thru  flagship programs: the Caribbean Endemic chicken competition and the West Indian Whistling-Duck and Wetlands Conservation undertaking.
