About:

In 1982 founded the Spanish Arthroscopy Association, formed by orthopedic surgeons interested in the development of this technique. The aims of the Association's research, study and dissemination of technical diagnostic and surgical arthroscopic, promoting their development in all its breadth and its subsidiary disciplines. The AEA is the main promoter of ongoing basic and advanced training of arthroscopy in Spain, through training courses AEA in Anatomy and Arthroscopic Surgery.

Annually the National Congress of the Association to share knowledge and exchange views and the magazine "is published is held Notebooks Arthroscopy".

In Spain, the development of the technique begins in 1977 when Marquis and Barcelo Catalan rheumatologists present a monograph on arthroscopy.
