Swedish Association for Allergology (SFFA)

SFFA is an organization that brings together physicians and other professionals with a special interest in allergological diseases. The association is the Swedish Medical Society's Allergy Research. Since 2008 it is also part of the Association of the Swedish Medical Association specialty compound for Allergology (adults).

In SFFAs Board includes representatives of the medical specialties dealing with allergy diseases (vuxenallergolog, lungmed, barnallergologi, immunology, ENT, skin, primary care). Within SFFA there is also a specialitetsråd six specialists in vuxenallergologi (one of these can be in training) to monitor and deal with issues related to the specialty. As a specialist in Allergology should therefore be involved in both compounds.

In SFFA is a specialitetsråd for vuxenallergologer to be guarding the specialty interests. Right now, work is under way to write recommendations for specialized training, ie, a more detailed description of what interim targets c shall involve / contain. The work is expected to be completed this fall. Through a link on the homepage reach Social Board's guidelines for the training to the allergist. Since there is an additional specialty and it can come from several different specialties needed training tailored to each resident physician. Trains to resident physician clinic should also be evaluated every five years by the so-called SPUR evaluation, where it is checked that the clinic offers a high quality education.

Since 2008 there is the opportunity to make a European examination of Allergy and Clinical Immunology by EAACI. It is an examination with multiple choice questions and it is usually done in conjunction with the annual congress. Approximately 40-50 people undergo exam every year, but not yet from Sweden.
