The French Pediatric Society (SFP)

The French Pediatric Society (SFP) is the educated society of paediatricians which aims is the scientific colloquy of all the physicians concerned with the health of the child and adolescents. SFP was established around 1901 as an association of regional Pediatric society. The activity of the society is extended up to French territory. The society works in private practice at the hospital in the medical and social services center. The current president of SFP is Dr Brigitte Chabrol from Marseille and the Head office of the Society is in Paris. SFP nearly connected with its work clubs, gatherings and affiliations associated pediatric strengths, assembled in the Scientific Council. SFB works with an objective to promote all the initiatives in paediatrics field like the health of child, conception to adolescence. It aims to promote the easy access to the quality care, to advance the education, prevention and screening in paediatrics field, provide encouragement in the development of paediatrics, to promote the research and the dissemination of results, to develop or to advance the modes of Pediatric practice and harmonize and formalize the collaboration and exchanges among them. Advance the underlying and keeping preparing of pediatricians, specialists, GPs and other therapeutic or paramedical callings included in the field of child health and adolesecent. It represents the French paediatrics to the international institutions and sharing and exchanging their knowledge and ideas with foreigners. SFB has a special panel which gives advice on the issues submitted to them by public or private organizations. It has official organ of expression Pediatric Archives. SFP has newsletter which published three to four times a year, is a link between the members of the Company. It organizes a yearly event, the last congress was held at Lille and the next conference will be held in 2017.
