The New Jersey Association for Biomedical Research (NJABR)

The New Jersey Association for Biomedical Research found in 1989, a non-profit is the only organization in New Jersey dedicated only to advocating for the continued availability of appropriate research models. Their membership consists of key associates from industry to hospitals, academic, voluntary health organizations, as well as affiliated trade and professional organizations. Over 20 years, The New Jersey Association for Biomedical Research has been devoted to outreach, education, and advocacy on behalf of the biomedical research community. Both human and financial, we have allocated resources, to fulfilling our mission in four priority areas like Member Services & Programs, Legislative Advocacy Legal Monitoring and Legislative Advocacy, Engagement and Public Awareness, Networking and Community-building. New Jersey Association for Biomedical Research dedicates time and energy to grow strong relationships with national organizations like National Association for Biomedical Research, Americans for Medical Progress, Foundation for American Physiological Society, Biomedical Research, and American Association for Laboratory Animal Science, Society of Toxicology. States United for Biomedical Research to achieve successful programming and it gives the strength to the community through collaboration and cooperation. They conduct substantial outreach to expand communication networks for dissemination of timely information regarding campaigns, threats, and legal challenges to animal-based research. They promote the continuing improvement of laboratory animal welfare. The area of science devoted to the study of the processes of life, the prevention and treatment of disorder and diseases, and the genetic and environmental factors related to disease and health. Research conducted to increase the base knowledge and understanding of the physical, functional mechanisms and chemical of life processes and disease. It is fundamental and not directed to solving any specific biomedical problem in animals or humans. It includes Clinical research in which the researchers that take place in a hospital or clinical setting and is focused on treating specific human and animal diseases and other disorder. The clinical research builds upon the knowledge learned through applied and basic research. Clinical research is manage on human beings and takes shape in treatments and drugs that directly improve human healthcare.
