The goal of the Turkish Association of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry is to provide the advancement of the Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry development, encourage the development of novel therapeutic active substances and excipients for medical purposes, further more establish the necessary activities for the functional utility of the current drugs. Society consists of the members who are interested in pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry area and eager to work and participate in every kind of action for the benefit of this association. Turkish Association of Pharmaceutical and medicinal Chemistry was held an International Meeting Medicinal and pharmaceutical Chemistry (IMMPC-1) during September 25-28, 2002 in Ankara. This first meeting focused on experimental and relevant computational approaches to the drug discovery as well as drug metabolism while assert on antiviral, anticancer and COX-2 inhibitor drugs. Second International Meeting on Medicinal and pharmaceutical Chemistry was held in October 2004 in Antalya.
