Yoga Research Society

Beginning in 1924, Swami Kuvalayânandaji initiated a rational, scientific methodology to the understanding of Yoga. His work has assisted to make Yoga accessible to sincere students and scholars throughout the world. The Yoga Research Society constructs on this tradition. The work of the Yoga Research Society is maintained by the SKY Foundation, Garland of Letters Bookstore and friends. There are programs suitable for every ages and backgrounds, with the main requirement an individual commitment to self-improvement.  Yoga is an earliest system of specific postures, relaxation, breath control and meditative techniques that tone the body and condition the glandular and nervous systems, calm emotional reactivity and steady thought processes. As taught at SKY, Yoga is severely non-denominational, concerning and supporting the personal and spiritual beliefs of each practitioner.
