The Yukon Agricultural Association developed from the Yukon Livestock and Agriculture Association that was established over three decades back. The Association has characterised the agriculture industry in dealings with governments and another organizations over that period of time. It offers cross-commodity support in fostering agricultural growth in the Yukon. The Association restructured and adopted a new constitution in 1997 and revised its by-laws in 2015.The aim of YAA is to foster and encourage sustainable Yukon agriculture for the advantage of both private and commercial consumers and producers through education, infrastructure growth, and liaison with government administrations and with non-government administrations.
Its vision is to help Yukon producers grow a way of life and an industry that offers the Yukon's needs for those agricultural goods and services that can be manufactured in the Territory.
