    Hearing loss is a common problem caused by noise, disease, aging, illness, and genetics. General signs of hearing loss occurs suddenly and develops gradually that includes asking people to repeat themselves, listening to music or television with a higher volume than required. There are two main types of hearing loss depending on where the problem lies they are conductive hearing loss, sensorineural hearing loss.

  • Hearing loss

    That conductive hearing loss occurs when sounds are unable to pass outer ear to inner ear due to some blockages such as glue ear, era wax, or due to an infection, or because of perforated ear drum or disorder oh hearing bones. Sensorineural is caused by damage to the auditory nerve that occurs naturally with age. There are several options that help to improve a person’s ability to hear and communicate which includes digital hearing aids, cochlear implants, middle ear implants, bone anchored implants, wireless devices, etc.

  • Hearing loss

    A survey among 1,000 respondents, including 100 hearing aid users, aged between 18 and 65 years, found that 40 percent of the population of Valencia experience a deterioration of their hearing. The average for all of Spain is estimated at 35 percent. The respondents reported degrees of hearing loss serious enough that they have some difficulty carrying on normal conversations. In spite of this, 31 percent of Valencia's adult population have never had their hearing tested. An additional 18 percent have not had a hearing test for at least three years.
