Ayham Al-Ayoubi received his M.D. in 1990 and was awarded his M.S. in 1994. He completed a program of surgical training and obtained a fellow diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998. He is the medical director of London Medical ad Aesthetic Clinic. He is an international leading surgeon, lecturer and tutor for Smartlipo and Sculptra. He is well known for introducing Smartlipo into the UK in 2006 and developing his own advanced Laser techniques in various aspects of laser surgery including Laser Assisted Liposuction, Laser assisted Facial Contouring, Laser assisted Neck-Lift and Scar-Free Laser Breast Lift.
The last 10 years has seen unprecedented growth in body contouring techniques using laser, ultrasound and radiofrequency energy. Th e lecture will be about the latest innovations in the fi eld of laser body contouring including the use of Smartlipo- Triplex in laser assisted liposuction and the revolutionary cellulaze laser -Th e World's First Aesthetic Laser with minimally invasive surgical approach to treat cellulite beneath the surface of the skin for the long-term reduction of cellulite. Th e fi rst part of the lecture focuses on the latest developments of laser liposuction and other laser advanced body contouring techniques with diff erent approaches, including latest indications, outcomes and the forecast of future developments in this fi eld. Smartlipo-Triplex laser is the latest generation of laser lipolysis. Th is platform off ers a solid state Nd:YAG laser capable of emitting laser radiation in three wavelengths: 1064 nm, 1320 nm and 1440 nm. Th ese versatile wavelengths can be used independently or can be uniquely blended using MultiPlex™ technology. Th e second part of the lecture incorporates the science of the revolutionary cellulaze laser technology off ering a light-based solution for the treatment of cellulite. Th e system has a solid state Nd: YAG emitting light in the 1440 nm wavelength. Cellulaze's laser proprietary SideLight 3D side-fi ring technology directs controlled, laser thermal energy to the treatment zones - typically the buttocks and thighs. Th e cellulaze laser treatments have demonstrated a benefi t from the use of subcutaneous laser energy in terms of tissue tightening through tissue coagulation as well as the regeneration of collagen and connective tissue.
