Title: Biodiversity conservation in fragmented landscapes using agroforestry

Biography

Shibu Jose is the Harold E. Garrett Endowed Chair Professor of Applied Ecology and Agroforestry and Director of the Center for Agroforestry at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Prior to his current appointment he was Professor of Forest Ecology at the School of Forest Resources and Conservation at the University of Florida, Gainesville. He received his B.S. (Forestry) from India and M.S. and Ph.D. (Forest Science) from Purdue University. Current research efforts focus on ecological sustainability and ecosystem services of agroforestry systems and mixed-species biomass plantations and ecosystem restoration. He has published seven edited books and over 150 research articles. He serves as Editor-In-Chief of Agroforestry Systems, Associate Editor (former Editor) of Journal of Forestry and Editorial Board Member of International Journal of Ecology

Abstract

Dheeraj Rathore is M.Sc. and M.Phil. from Vikram University, Ujjain and completed his Ph.D. from Allahabad Agricultural Deemed University. He is a Senior Lecturer in The University of Dodoma, Tanzania, the largest University of East Africa. He is member of several scientific committees, published 1 book and more than 15 research articles in reputed journals and serving as an editorial board member of repute.
