Special Issue: Computer Science and Mathematics: The two Fundamentals of Modern Technologies

Mathematics is the backbone that supports and augments research and development of computer programs and systems that are further implicated in other advanced studies related to development of practically applicable digital tools and techniques, including artificial intelligence based systems. The application of mathematical algorithms for the development of computer programs and systems has become a common notion over the past many years. It is thus obvious that elucidation and resolution of mathematical principles and formulae can contribute to the development and procession of suitable computer programs in future.

In lieu of the direct implications of mathematical principles in computer science, it is suggested that integrative study and analysis of both may be highly helpful in unraveling hitherto unexplored aspects of mathematics that may further be implicated in computer applications. The potential role of this groundbreaking concept has recently been realized by many peers belonging to mathematics, computer science and its allied branches. The Journal of Computer Science and Systems Biology has been playing a crucial role in the dissemination of the latestfindings pertaining to the methods, tools and implications of such integrative studies.

Considering the intellectual scope and practical importance of such a combinatorial approach of study, the journal decided to put forth a special issue that will be singularly focused on the publication of researchdevelopments and findings corresponding to the study of mathematical concepts and implying them in computer science for the development of programs and tools with significant prospective applications in one or more aspects of functioning of the increasingly digitalizing world.

The journal invites researchers, scholars and scientists from across the world to contribute their valuable research findings, expert opinions and systematic studies for publication in the said special issue. The special issue will specifically address the following paradigms of mathematics and computer science:

1. Machine learning and computational learning theory
2. Artificial intelligence
3. Lambda calculus and types
4. Computer security
5. Computational complexity
6. Automata, logic and games
7. Concurrent algorithms and data structures
8. Quantum computer science
9. Probabilistic combinatorics and design and analysis of algorithms
10. Probability and Lie theory

Manuscripts highlighting one or more of the above-mentionedfields of study may be submitted to editor@hilarispublisher.com in the form of research article, review articles, case studies, short communications and/or opinion articles.
