    Fuchs' dystrophy is a terminology used to describe the eye disease which arises due to the degenerative changes in the inner most layer cells of cornea.This disease affects both the eyes and process of affecting is very slow. Women are prone to men as per the research data. Endothelial cells are vital part of cornea for healthy eyes.

    Inner layer of the cornea (Endothelial cells) starts diminishing at snail’s pace and leads to blurred vision and other eye sight related problems.These cells play an important role in processing water to makes up the corneal structure. Symptoms include corneal swelling, cloudy, blurred vision.

    According to a research report women are more affected than men in the ration of 3:1. The people with family history of Fuchs dystrophy are prone to the FECD. One should take proper care of the eyes as these abnormalities might lead to blindness at old age.
