Aquaculture research focuses on the farming of aquatic plants. Aquatic plants are those plants that have adopted to lead a life in the water systems and some help to feed the fish as their food supplements, some aquatic plants help in the human life as source of medicinal values. The aquatic plants help absorbing the nutrients and supply oxygen to the aquatic animals that live in the water. The current research focuses on the non-native aquatic plants to understand the ecology and control of aquatic weeds. The research is also focus on the economical and environmental impacts of the aquatic plants.
