Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences ï¼CUASï¼which was founded in 1972 is a full-time comprehensive institution of higher education under the leadership of the Chongqing Municipal Government of P.R.China. The University covers an area of 1921 mu with 2 campuses: Honghe Campus and Xinghu Campus. It has a staff of more than 1300, among which there are 1 member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 100 professors, more than 520 teachers with doctoral or master degree, 18 foreign experts and teachers, and more than 100 visiting or part-time professors and experts.
CUAS has 16 schools and 50 specialties for undergraduates, covering 8 kinds of discipline such as Literature, Sciences, Engineering, Management, Agriculture, Pedagogy, Laws and Arts. At present, about 18000 full-time undergraduates are studying on campuses. CUAS attaches great importance to developing international cooperation and exchange.
The university has successively established relationships with USA, Russia, Vietnam, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore. The university invites both long-term and short-term foreign experts and scholars to work, to lecture, and to do cooperative research every year. The university enrolls overseas Chinese students and international students for further education and degrees.
