Delegación del CSIC en la Comunidad Valenciana

The CSIC is made up of a network of centers and institutes, co-owned by universities, autonomous communities and other bodies, which are distributed throughout the Autonomous Communities, with the exception of the Spanish School of History and Archeology of Rome (Italy ). The centers and institutes of the CSIC carry out scientific research independently and independently. They all have the figure of the director and are organized in departments that group related research teams in their research topics. Just as the research groups are the operational units of research, the centers and institutes are the operational units for the management and organization of the CSIC activity.

The centers and institutes are grouped into eight major Scientific-Technical Areas according to the profile of the research they carry out. In some cases, the lines of research addressed at a center / institute make it part of more than one Scientific-Technical Area. Also, centers and institutes are grouped territorially by Autonomous Community. Some of them have Institutional Delegations, which are the first line of interaction and response of the CSIC in matters of regional scope.

The Delegation of the CSIC in the Valencian Community has recently launched a new website. The 'site' focuses on highlighting the advantages that research entails for society by giving a central place to CSIC news related to science-business interaction, knowledge transfer and patent exploitation, with particular attention to the news generated by the centers of the Valencian Community.

Alongside these contents, grouped in the section 'Economy based on knowledge', the website incorporates as a novelty a cultural agenda that includes all the seminars, workshops, conferences, congresses and scientific culture activities organized by the CSIC in that Community. Scientific news, job offers, R & D grants, dissemination activities and information about the CSIC centers in the Region of Valencia and the Delegation itself complete the contents of the new space.
