Juarez Independent University of Tabasco, also known as UJAT which is a public organization of higher education which was situated in Villahermosa, Tabasco, South America. The prime objective of the university is "to get ready experts with wide and strong skills in their area of research to complete the needs of Tabasco and the nation at large." UJAT is the biggest and most popular university in the state of Tabasco. During the 2007-2008 educational periods they registered 35,271 learners and had educating employees of over 2,000. For the same time period the university provided bachelors levels in 36 professions, masters levels in 26 places, three doctorate levels, and post-graduate accreditations in 17 graduate student places of skills. On August 28, 2007, the university was recognized as one of the 13 best universities in Mexico by the Mexican Secretary of Public Education. Year earlier, during the 2006-2007 academic year, the University had been recognized as one of the 16 best by the Mexican Secretary of Public Education. In an ATEI Information news brief dated October 12, 2006, the ATEI (Association of Ibero-American Educational Television) reported that "UJAT was among the 16 best universities in the country when it received an acknowledgement to that effect granted by the Secretary for Public Education.
