Data represent the mean (median) ± SEM; n=10,and were analyzed with student t-test or Mann Whitney U test . Abbreviations: C-control (untreated) group, B – (study group) rats were given paracetamol (acetaminophen) solution to drink by intra-oesophageal instillation in a dose of 2.4 g/kg of body weight/24 hrs (i.e. 16 μmol/kg of body weight/24 hrs), after drinking it, they had unlimited access to distilled water.
