Figure 1: Kinase inhibitor cocktail treatment in hamsters infected with PIRV leads to increased survival. The Group 1 animals were treated with the DMSO carrier control; the Group 2 animals were treated with 15 μg/kg of the kinase inhibitor cocktail; and the Group 3 animals were treated with 30 μg/kg of the kinase inhibitor cocktail. The animals were treated 1x 24 hrs prior to infection and 1x daily every day after challenge. Statistical significance (p≤0.05) was observed when comparing the survival of the Group 3 animals to the Group 1 animals.
