Peripheral B- and monocytic- cells from one ASC-A (2a) were cultured with 0.01- 100 ng/ml HBsAg for 5 days. Peripheral T-cells and monocytic cells from one HB-immune (2b) were cultured with 100ng recombinant S+S2 antigen/ml for 1-6 days. Culture supernatants were analysed for IL-8 content by ELISA. IL-8 levels (pg/ml) in antigen stimulated cultures are corrected for backgrounds in cultures without antigen.
