Exon 7 to 9 contains the Ly-6 antigen/uPA receptor-like domain (PLAUR domain) and this domain is conserved in all splicing variants. LYPD6B_b variant utilizes different start and stop codons at exon 6 and exon 9 respectively. The LYPD6B_c variant form differs by the splicing out of exon 5.
