Figure 2: 61 years old, male patient; underwent total thyroidectomy operation three years ago. His pathological result was papillary thyroid carcinoma (7 cm) with capsular invasion and one metastatic lymph node. He received 100 mCi treatment. (Figure 2a: posttreatment anteroposterior images including neck and thorax regions). Three years later he received second 100 mCi treatment because of elevating thyroglobulin posttreatment scan revealed low uptake in residual tissue and pulmonary metastasis with high thyroglobuline levels (94) (Figure 2b: posttreatment images in anteroposterior projection including neck and torax and abdomen) however PET/CT scan showed additional servical and mediastinal subcutaneous metastatic lymph nodes (Figure 2c: PET/CT transaxial, multiple intensity projection images).
