| Figure 6: Effect of two informative SNPs on promoter activity: HEK-293 cells were transfected with either the D’man 541 bp region or single base pair substitutions from the Sardi/Timahdite variants. After 48 h the relative luciferase activity was determined. Dramatic decreases were observed when both monomers at positions -599 and -568 from D’man as a reference were mutated with base pairs that represented the case seen with the Sardi/Timahdite breeds. |
