IL-8 (pg/ml; filled circles) and HBV-DNA (pg/ml; filled squares, dotted line) was measured in sera from one patient with acute HB infection. The X-axis gives month/year. Serum HBV-DNA was quantified by HBV-DNA Digene and given as pg/ml (1pg=2.87×105 genomes/ml). HB serology is given at the top of the figures, as indicated in Figure 4.
