Term infants Preterm infants Born at Johnson City Medical Center(JCMC) or Transferred to JCMC in first 24 hours of life Born at Johnson City Medical Center(JCMC) or Transferred to JCMC in first 24 hours of life Born after 37 weeks of Gestation Gestation period of less than or equal to 32 weeks No History of hospitalization in the NICU Hospitalization in NICU for minimum of 28 days Age less than or equal to 12 months Age less than or equal to 12 months Absence of congenital malformation or disorder Absence of congenital malformation or disorder Age appropriate immunization Age appropriate immunization Absence of any history of oral or IV steroid treatment in last 4 weeks Absence of any history of oral or IV steroid treatment in last 4 weeks Absence of any acute infection in last one month Absence of any acute infection in last one month The infants were included into either term or preterm infant group based on the above enlisted inclusion criteria
