(A) Sections of injected skin tissue sites were prepared at the time points indicated
and stained with anti-Ly-6G (green; for neutrophils) and anti-F4/80
(red; for macrophages) antibodies. Typical staining patterns for neutrophils
and macrophages on day 1 and on day 5, respectively, were shown (A).
4’,6-Diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI; blue) was used for counterstaining.
The number of neutrophils (B) and macrophages (C) at infiltrated regions
were quantified by counting the positive cells within an area (0.100 mm2)
magnified at 40× in E (filled bar), E/Dex (gray bar), or Sa (open bar) injection
