Figure 3: PM cytotoxicity. Different concentrations of PM [Active CP] were
given to the cells, and the results were
examined by LDH assay (A) and flow-cytometry (B). PM [Active CPA] 200 μM
was the only concentration that induced significant cell death, and S1P 5 μM
showed significant protection (A). The effect of PM [Active CP] suggested a
dose dependent pattern, but the different doses were not significant. Using
the flow cytometry technique, we saw no significant effect on the cells and the
dose response was more moderate than the one seen in the LDH assay. PM
was not more effective than the inactive CPA. A: Crude data of LDH shown as
