The DIO muscle (A) contains a lot of myofibers with numerous lipid droplets in their sarcoplasm. These myofibers (asterisk) in A are type 1 fibers, since same myofibers (asterisk) in serial muscle section (B) are immunonegative with anti-AQP4 staining.
