Most of the DIO myofibers are immunopositive with slight variation of staining intensity. More intensely stained fibers (asterisk) in A are also strongly stained with anti-AQP4 antibody in serial muscle section (asterisk in B), and therefore these myofibers are type 2 fibers. Myofibers in DIO muscles (A) are more intensely stained with anti-AQP7 antibody compared with control muscle section (C) immunostained with same antibody in which the substantial number of immunonegative myofibers are noted.
