Dr. Andrew W. Taylor-Robinson is Professor of Immunology & Haematology and currently Associate Dean of Research in the School of Medical & Applied Sciences at Central Queensland University, Australia. He received a PhD in parasite immunology from the University of Glasgow and undertook postdoctoral research at the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow. He has authored over one hundred peer-reviewed papers, book chapters and commentaries.
Dr. Andrew W. Taylor-Robinson has over 25 years’ experience of infectious disease immunology, with a focus on mosquito-borne diseases and infections of the upper respiratory tract. Current research includes malaria, dengue fever and otitis media. Expertise in cellular immunity, especially cytokine networks and nitric oxide metabolism, that is involved in regulation and effector mechanisms of protective immunity and which underpins vaccine development.
