Jose Maria Arnau received B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from the University Jaume I of Castellon in 2008. He obtained the award to the best student in Computer Engineering in the Valencian Community in 2008 and the award to the second best student in Computer Engineering in Spain graduating in 2008.
From 2008 to 2010 he worked at the Institute of Ceramic Technology as software developer. As part of this job he was involved in the development of an X-Ray machine which is able to perform tomographies of ceramic tiles.
He joined the ARCO research group in September 2010. He obtained M.Sc. degree in Computer Architecture, Networks and Systems at the Technical University of Catalonia in 2011. He is currently pursuing PhD, his advisors are Antonio Gonzalez, Polychronis Xekalakis and Joan-Manuel Parcerisa. He holds a researcher position at the university supported by a FI-research grant. In October 2012 he received the Intel Doctoral Student Honor Programme.
He started an internship at the University of Edinburgh in the CArD group by July 2013, under the supervision of professor Christophe Dubach. His research at Edinburgh is focused on performing a co-design space explaration of compiler optimisation and hardware parameter for GPGPU architectures.
