Biography
Prof. Dr. Bernhard Resch has received his medical degree at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz, Austria, in 1988. In 2004 he became Associate Professor at the Medical University of Graz, Austria, and in 2012 he became Professor of Pediatrics. Currently he is Deputy Chief of the Division of Neonatology of the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and Head of the Research Unit for Neonatal Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology of the Medical University of Graz, Austria. His research has included neonatal sepsis, inflammatory markers, respiratory syncytial virus, cytomegalovirus, and periventricular leukomalacia in preterm infants. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like The Open Microbiology Journal and American Journal of Epidemiology and Infectious Disease.& expert Reviewers for journals like Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal, Pediatrics, Clinical Infectious Diseases, Neonatology, Biomarkers of Inflammation, etc. He has authored 147 research articles and 3 scientific books. He is Past President of the Austrian Society of Perinatal Medicine and Head of the Styrian Perinatal Working Group.
