Biography
Dr. Dorothy Lane received her B.A. degree from Vassar College, her M.D. degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and her M.P.H. degree from Columbia University School of Public Health and Administrative Medicine and completed a residency in Preventive Medicine (Public Health) with the New York City Department of Health. Dr. Lane is currently a State University of New York (SUNY) Distinguished Service Professor, Vice Chair and Director of the Division of Community and Behavioral Health in the Department of Preventive Medicine, and the Associate Dean for Continuing Medical Education at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine.  Dr Lane is also the Director of the Stony Brook residency program in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health, which she has been since its inception in 1982. She is board certified in Preventive Medicine.
