Biography

Dr. Gadi Borkow Is Professor of Immunology at Immune Nutrition Inc, Hameyasdim 44, Gibton 76910, Israel. He obtained his Ph.D. in the Tel Aviv University, Israel on 1994. His post-doctoral studies were conducted at McGill University AIDS Centre between 1994 to 1997, during which he specialized on Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1). In 1998 Dr. Borkow joined the Hebrew University Ruth Ben-Ari Institute of Clinical Immunology and AIDS Center, where he studied virological and immunological aspects of HIV-1 infection. Since 2004, Dr. Borkow is the Chief Medical Scientist of Cupron. Dr. Borkow has published over 115 peer reviewed manuscripts in scientific journals, and his studies have been presented in more than 100 scientific conferences. Dr. Borkow serves as a reviewer of several scientific journals, NIH forums and is in the Editorial Board of several scientific journals. Dr. Borkow research interests include understanding the effects that copper ions have on intact and breached skin, Reduction of facial wrinkles depth by sleeping on copper oxide containing pillowcases, and utilizing the beneficial properties of copper in cosmetic and medical devices and applications. Dr. Gadi Borkow research interests include Copper and wound healing; Effect of copper on the well-being of the skin; Extracellular matrix proteins, Skin infections.
