Biography
Dr.Guido Werner  is Associate Professor (University Lecturer) for Medical Microbiology at the Georg-August-University Göttingen. Dr.Guido Werner works as a Medical Microbiologist in the Unit “Nosocomial Infections”, Dept. of Infectious Diseases in the Robert Koch-Institute, Wernigerode Branch, Germany. He studied biochemistry from 1990 to 1995. Since November 1995 he has been working as a scientist at the Robert KochInstitute, Wernigerode Branch and received his PhD for biology in 1998.
Research Interest
Dr.Guido Werner  main research interests are molecular typing, methods of early and fast diagnostics, molecular characterization and population analysis of bacterial (nosocomial) pathogens and molecular and epidemiological aspects of antimicrobial resistance.
