Biography
H Weiss is working as a Professor of Epidemiology and Head of MRC Tropical Epidemiology Group.She works for Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Faculty of Epidemiology and Population Health. Helen studied cancer epidemiology, having obtained her PhD at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in Oxford, followed by a post-doctoral position at the National Cancer Institute, USA.
Research Interest
Alcohol Clinical trials Complex interventions Sexual health Statistical methods Systematic reviews Helen also has an interest in mental health and was lead statistician on a recent cluster-randomised trial which showed that a lay health worker intervention was effective and cost-effective in reducing morbidity from common mental disorders in Goa, India.
