Biography
Lassaad EL Mir is a full professor in the department of Physics at Al-Imam University, College of Sciences, Saudi Arabia. He has obtained his PhD in 1995 from College of Sciences in Tunis, Tunisia. Formerly he worked as an Associate Professor and Head of Physics Department at Faculty of Sciences in Gabes, Tunasia. He has a Membership of the research laboratory “Materials and Nanomaterials Physics and their applications to Environment: LaPhyMNE”, Membership of the Council of the University of Gabes, Tunisia, Membership of Tunisia/Portugal comity for evaluation of scientific projects, Scientific Membership of Tunisian third days of Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies (JTNST3-2010). He has published more than 130 research articles in prestigious national and international journals and given many oral and poster presentations on his research findings at various international conferences.  
Research Interest
Lassaad EL Mir’s research interests include Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Physics, Materials Science, Synthesis and characterization of thin films materials for solar cells applications based on nanoparticles, Synthesis of nanoparticles for solar photocatalytic applications, Study of optical, electrical and magnetic properties of transparent doped zinc oxide thin films elaborated by rf-magnetron sputtering from aerogel nanoparticles, Synthesis and analysis of organic-inorganic Nano composites for variety of applications such as electrodes, advanced catalyst supports, chromatographic packing, energy storage and gas sensors, Synthesis of nanoparticles using sol-gel method for different applications.
