Research Interest
Her current lines of research include the study of inflammatory mediators in the progression of chronic inflammatory diseases such as atherosclerosis and Alzheimer's disease with the aim to identify the hierarchical cytokines involved in the amplification of the disease as a possible target for the development of specific biologics therapeutics. Furthermore her research deals with the role of nutritional factors in chronic inflammatory diseases and the role of stress hormones in chronic inflammatory diseases.
