Biography
Ruth R. Montgomery received a BA from University of Pennsylvania and a PhD from Rockefeller University where she studied with Zanvil Cohn and Carl Nathan. After postdoctoral work on macrophage endocytosis with Ira Mellman, she remained at Yale where she is now Associate Professor of Medicine, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, and Director of the CyTOF facility. Her research focus is the function of innate immune cells and use of novel technology to advance translational studies. Her lab investigates effects of aging and autoimmunity on innate immune responses and pathways, as well as infectious models including Lyme disease and West Nile virus.
