Biography
Ryan Edmonds started his own workplace law firm with the goal of making Bay Street expertise available to both employers and employees at Main Street fare. Having trained and practiced with Canada's most renowned management-side labour and employment law firm, Ryan has a proven track record of providing effective legal solutions to complex workplace problems. During his articles Ryan also clerked at the Ontario Labour Relations Board, where he helped the Board's Vice Chairs decide cases about termination pay, overtime, unpaid wages, and workplace harassment. As a result Ryan not only knows how both employers and employees think when confronted with workplace disputes, but he also knows how legal decision-makers approach these issues as well. An academically-decorated graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, Ryan has authored a number of award-winning law journal articles on labour and employment law, and frequently contributes to publications such as the Human Resources Professionals Association's HR Connected, CCH's Focus on Canadian Employment and Equality Rights, and Canadian Lawyer's Legal Feeds.
Research Interest
Ryan is active in the community. In addition to being a founding director of Out on Bay Street, he is also a section executive of the Ontario Bar Association's Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee.
