Biography
 Dr. Thomas P. West completed his PhD in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University in 1980 and his M.S. in Biochemistry in 1976 from the same university. He is a professor in the Department of Biology and Microbiology, South Dakota State University since January 2005 and prior to this he was a Professor in Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, in South Dakota State University from 1993-2004. 
Research Interest
 His research interest is in Biochemistry, genetic engineering, ethanol production, enzymes, Fungi and industrial production of various metabolites.
