Biography

Dr. Alldredge is a Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco and a member of the UCSF Epilepsy Center. He is an editor of Applied Therapeutics: The Clinical Use of Drugs - a pharmacotherapy text book used widely in health professions education, which was recently published in its 10th edition. He participates on invited review groups for the National Institutes of Neurological Disorders & Stroke, and he serves as a reviewer for journals in pharmacy, neurology and medicine. His research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and professional organizations. In his role as Associate Dean, Academic Affairs for the School of Pharmacy, Dr. Alldredge serves on numerous committees and task forces related to faculty development, faculty life, and academic diversity.

Research Interest

His clinical practice and research interests focus on epilepsy, seizure emergencies, prehospital care, and pharmacogenomics.

Biography

Wenhua obtained his Medical Degree and M. Sc. in Pharmacology at Zhongshan (Sun Yat-sen) University of Medical Science in Guangzhou China, and a Ph. D. in the Departments of Pharmacology at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Wenhua was Awarded several post-doctoral research training positions in prestigious research institutes and universities around the world (Visiting Fellow the NIH 1993-96, Visiting Scientist at University of Rochester, NY in 92 and Post-Doctoral Fellow at McGill University in 1996). He became a professor at Sun Yat-sen University in 2006. In 2015, Wenhua joined the Faculty of Health Science at University of Macau

Aron D Mosnaim

Biography

Dr. Mosnaim was awarded a Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences degree from the University of Chile and supported by a British Council Fellowship, a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry from Glasgow’s Strathclyde University. After postdoctoral training at the University of Chicago and Northwestern University, Dr. Mosnaim joined the faculty of Rosalind University of Medicine and Science/The Chicago Medical School where he currently holds a tenured Professorship in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and an Adjunct Professorship in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Mosnaim also holds and Honorary Professorship at the University of Chile. Dr. Mosnaim has co-authored over three hundred and fifty scientific papers, published abstracts and book chapters.

Research Interest

Biochemical, molecular and clinical pharmacology of biogenic amines, particularly phenylethylamine and related noncatecholic phenylethylamines. Pathophysiology of tardive dyskinesia and other movement disorders. Vasoactive amines, endogenous peptides with opioid-like properties and the immune system in migraine and cluster headaches. Triptan drugs and the immune system. Endogenous peptides and the immune system in stress-related disorders e.g., post traumatic stress disorder and septic shock. Stress, endogenous peptides and asthma. Matrix metalloproteinases as markers for various neurological disorders, including vascular lesions, demyelination, inflammatory, degenerative and prion diseases.
