Abstract:

Facial prostheses act as an alternative treatment for the surgical procedures. Reconstruction of a facial defect prosthetically is a complex and labor requiring process both for the patient and the dentist. Maxillofacial prostheses provide psychological, aesthetic and functional support to the patient.�?�?�?°n this case report,implant and eyeglasses retained prosthetic rehabilitation of a nasal defect is described. Retention was provided by using one implant and a magnetic device attached to the eye glasses of the patient due to the failure of other two implants. By using this method patient was able to use the prosthetic nose without any additional surgeries.

Biography :

Meryem Hürba�? has completed her graduation from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in the year 2015. In the same year, she started her PhD program in Prosthodontics Department at University of Gazi. She has been to many dental congresses abroad and presented posters.
