Dr. Carla Montesano, has completed her Degree in Biological Sciences in 1994, her Postgraduate Diploma in Biotechnological Applications in 1999. She has completed her PhD in Immunology in 2006.Her Research topics include The research activity is directed mainly to the study of host-pathogen in infectious diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis Be leishmaniasis and its implications for the development of therapeutic strategies, diagnostic and vaccine .Caratterizzazione dellarisposta immunitariadi pediatric patients with HIV infection in the course of antiretroviral therapy and therapeutic vaccination anti-HIV.Analisi factors immunogenetic (HLA and KIR LIR) associated with the progression of HIV infection.
