Biography
Prof. Seung U. Kim.received his MD from.Seoul Natl University.College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea in 1960 and PhD from Kyoto University Graduate School in 1965.in the field of neuroscience. He served as Professor of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA (1972-1983) and University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada (1983-2002). Currently, he is Professor Emeritus of Neurology at the University of British Columbia. His primary research interests include neurogenesis, molecular neuroscience and stem cell-based cell-and gene-theray for neurological diseases. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals including Journal of Neuroscience Research, Neuropathology, Clinical and Experiemntal Neuroimmunology and International Journal of Stem Cells. He has published more than 520 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Research Interest
His primary research interests include neurogenesis, molecular neuroscience and stem cell-based cell-and gene-theray for neurological diseases.
