Biography

Dr. Zhichao Fan is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Division of Inflammation Biology, La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology, USA. Dr. Zhichao Fan has contributed to 16 peer-reviewed publications, with 8 of them authored first or co-first, including Cancer Research, International Journal of Cancer, Immunology & Cell Biology and Thrombosis and Haemostasis. Dr. Zhichao Fan completed his B.S. from Soochow University, China in 2008 and Ph.D. from Fudan University, China in 2013. Dr. Zhichao Fan has a long-standing interest in investigating immunological and oncological problems using cutting-edge optical monitoring and imaging techniques, including in vivo flow cytometry, intravital microscopy and quantitative dynamic footprinting microscopy.

Research Interest

Dr. Zhichao Fan’s research interests include: inflammation, innate immunity, leukocyte recruitment, leukocyte rolling and arrest, integrin activation, immunological synapse, cancer metastasis, circulating tumor cells, in vivo flow cytometry, intravital microscopy, total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy, super-resolution microscopy.
