Dr. Hai Li has received his PhD in Biochemistry from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA during the period of 2006 to 2011. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. His research has included natural product chemistry, protein folding, and structure and function of microbial rhodopsins. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as the Excellence Poster Award at American Society of Photobiology in 2014. He is serving as an expert Reviewer for journals like Journal of Microbial and Biochemical Technology. He has authored ten research articles and attended many scientific conferences.
His research has included natural product chemistry, protein folding, and structure and function of microbial rhodopsins.
