University hospital center Blida. Algeria
Recent scientific studies have confirmed the impact of chewing function on craniofacial morphology.
Planas was a genius for his time. He understood the importance of physiology
masticatory function in the morphogenesis of alveolar-dental arches.
This led him to invent a functional unit; tracks (direct and indirect) whose action is based on the release of lateral movements and
gymnastics masticatory muscles.
Thanks to the presentation of clinical cases, we can see the role of tracks of Planas in correcting malocclusions and establishing an
alternate unilateral mastication.
