P

harmaceutical industry of Iran is one of the considerable domains negotiated by national and international policy-makers and

economists. In order to pave the path of broadening the intra-industry trade and assess its post effect, some of the obstacles are

alternated in this presentation. One of the concerns ismembership in theWorldTradeOrganization (WTO) to change the international

position of this industry either in the right or wrong direction. From this point of view, the opinions of Iranian experts about the pons

and cons of international relations in pharmaceutical industry published in the databases on the web and pharmaceutical magazines

up to 2018 has been gathered. Besides, the Iranian pharmaceutical laws, processes, instructions, and regulations in various eras in

a 22-year period of requesting the permanent membership position in WTO have been collected. On the other hand, the present

situation of an industrial condition has been compared with two developing countries, China and India, to clarify the development

outcomes of the various pharmaceutical industries. The governmental policies like pricing system and pharmaceutical companies’

strategies like documentation were the most frequent objections by the experts. Some of the limitations were common in China and

India. Iranian Pharmaceutical Industries need a clear and appropriate strategy to conquer its limitations towards the membership of

WTO.
